Abstract

Asistivna tehnologija predstavlja različite oblike opreme, programa ili proizvoda koji se koriste za povećanje, održavanje ili poboljšanje funkcionalnih sposobnosti osoba s teškoćama. Za djecu s višestrukim teškoćama korištenje asistivne tehnologije predstavlja mogućnost uključivanja u različite aktivnosti, a posljedično poboljšanje kvalitete života.
Cilj ovog rada je prikazati primjer usvajanja korištenja asistivne tehnologije kod djeteta s višestrukim teškoćama u okviru edukacijsko-rehabilitacijskog rada Kabineta za asistivne tehnologije Specijalne bolnice Goljak.
U svrhu prikaza usvajanja korištenja asistivne tehnologije korištena je kvalitativna metoda studije slučaja. Nakon proučavanja teorijskih postavki korištenja eye gaze tehnologija i izazova koji se javljaju u praksi, određena su problemska područja te je sastavljen upitnik koji je korišten tijekom polu-strukturiranog intervjua. Prilikom obrade prikupljenih podataka primjenjena je tematska analiza sadržaja.

Abstract (english)

Assistive technology represents various forms of equipment, programs or products used to increase, maintain or improve the functional abilities of people with disabilities. For children with multiple disabilities, the use of assistive technology is an opportunity to engage in various activities and consequently improve the quality of life.
The aim of this paper is to present an example of the adoption of the use of assistive technology in a child with multiple disabilities within the educational rehabilitation work of the Cabinet for Assistive Technologies of the Goljak Special Hospital.
A qualitative case study method was used to demonstrate the adoption of the use of assistive technology. After studying the theoretical assumptions of the use of eye gaze technologies and the challenges that arise in practice, the problem areas were identified and a questionnaire was compiled which was used during a semi-structured interview. During the processing of the collected data thematic content analysis was applied.
