Abstract

Kreativna terapija je metoda korištenja likovne umjetnosti, glazbe, plesa i pokreta, drame, poezije, pisanja i drugih kreativnih procesa za poticanje dubokog osobnog rasta i razvoja pojedinca. Kreativna terapija je intrizičan proces, radi se o dubokim unutarnjim promjenama unutar pojedinca, predstavlja vlastiti rad i izbor, te je potaknuto vlastitom motivacijom i angažmanom što ga čini posebnim i vrijednim iskustvom. Plastičnost mozga je jedan od važnih zakonitosti neurološkog sustava, a radi se o cjeloživotnoj sposobnosti mozga da reoganizira svoje neuralne sastavnice za stvaranje novih veza, utiranja novih puteva kroz korteks na osnovi novog iskustva. Tijekom cijelog života je prisutna plastičnost mozga, ali različite vrste plastičnosti dominiraju tijekom određenih razdoblja. Postoje brojni dokazi iz istraživanja u području neuroznanosti o tome kako različita iskustva mogu promijeniti strukturu i funkcionalnu organizaciju mozga. Stvaranje veza između neurona ovisi o genetičkim predipozicijama, ali i o uvjetima okoline, odnosno epigenetičkim čimbenicima, koji značajno utječu na kvalitetu sazrijevanja i funkcioniranja središnjeg živčanog sustava. Plastičnost mozga je izraženija tijekom rasta i razvoja, ali novija istraživanja pokazuju da mozak odrasle osobe može nastaviti stvarati nove neurone i neuronske veze kao odgovor na učenje ili vježbe čak i u starosti. Cilj ovog preglednog rada je prikazati utjecaj kreativnih terapija na neuroplastičnost mozga. Korištenje kreativnih terapija može stvoriti promjene unutar neuronske mreže čime dolazi do rasta i promjena u misaonim obrascima u mozgu. Kako se mogućnosti za rješavanje problema “kreativnog zadatka” šire tijekom kreativnog procesa, tako se povećavaju mogućnosti za neuroplastičnost i dugoročne promjene unutar neuronskih mreža u mozgu. Tijekom kreativnog procesa, neuroni se koriste i povezuju na nove načine koji do tada nisu bili povezani, čime se povećavaju mogućnosti promjena. Što jači utisak ostavi neka aktivnost na mozak, veća je vjerojatnost da će učvrstiti neuroplastičnu promjenu.

Abstract (english)

Creative therapy is a method of using fine arts, music, dance and movement, drama, poetry, writing and other creative processes to encourage deep personal growth and development of the individual. Creative therapy is an intriguing process, it is about deep inner changes within an individual, it represents one's own work and choice, and it is encouraged by one's own motivation and engagement, which makes it a special and valuable experience. Brain plasticity is one of the important laws of the neurological system, and it is about the lifelong ability of the brain to reorganize its neural components to create new connections, paving new pathways through the cortex based on new experience. Brain plasticity is present throughout life, but different types of plasticity dominate during certain periods. There is ample evidence from neuroscience research on how different experiences can change the structure and functional organization of the brain. The formation of connections between neurons depends on genetic predispositions, but also on environmental conditions, ie epigenetic factors, which significantly affect the quality of maturation and functioning of the central nervous system. Brain plasticity is more pronounced during growth and development, but recent research shows that an adult’s brain can continue to create new neurons and neural connections in response to learning or exercise even in old age. The aim of this review is to show the impact of creative therapies on brain neuroplasticity. The use of creative therapies can create changes within the neural network leading to growth and changes in thought patterns in the brain. As the possibilities for solving the problem of "creative task" expand during the creative process, so do the possibilities for neuroplasticity and long-term changes within neural networks in the brain. During the creative process, neurons are used and connected in new ways that were not previously connected, thus increasing the possibilities for change. The stronger the impression some activity leaves on the brain, the more likely it is to solidify the neuroplastic change.
