Abstract

Motorički poremećaji definiraju se kao skupina poremećaja fine i grube motorike i/ili balansa tijela, koji stvaraju teškoće u svakodnevnim funkcionalnim aktivnostima te podrazumijevaju ispodprosječno tjelesno funkcioniranje različite etiologije i fenomenologije. Motorički razvoj djece u velikoj mjeri utječe na mnoga područja razvoja i aspekte uspjeha djeteta na kognitivnom, perceptivnom i socijalnom razvoju. Kod djece s motoričkim poremećajima prisutne su i teškoće na području socijalnog i emocionalnog razvoja u većoj ili manjoj mjeri te veliki broj faktora može utjecati na razvitak i unapređivanje njihovih socijalnih i emocionalnih kompetencija,
Cilj ovog istraživanja bio je ispitati kako roditelji procjenjuju socijalne i emocionalne kompetencije svoje djece s motoričkim poremećajima te je li stupanj socijalnog i emocionalnog razvoja povezan sa sudjelovanjem djece u obiteljskim aktivnostima.
Sudionici istraživanja bili su roditelji djece s motoričkim poremećajima (N=21) te roditelji djece tipičnog razvoja (N=21).
Za potrebe prikupljanja podataka koristio se anketni upitnik koji se sastojao od nekoliko dijelova: Opći podaci o djetetu, roditeljima i obitelji, DESSA („Devereux Student Strenghts Assesment“) te Upitnik o obiteljskim aktivnostima. Roditelji su upitnik ispunjavali preko poslane poveznice. Podaci su se obrađivali primjerenim kvantitativnim metodama, a korišteni su deskriptivni i asocijativni znanstveno-istraživački pristup.
Uspoređujući procjene roditelja djece bez teškoća i roditelja djece s motoričkim poremećajima o socijalnim i emocionalnim kompetencijama svoje djece, nisu pokazana velika odstupanja u rezultatima kod ove dvije skupine. Nadalje, utvrdila se značajna pozitivna povezanost između učestalosti sudjelovanja u obiteljskim aktivnostima i razini socijalnih i emocionalnih kompetencija djece s motoričkim teškoćama i djece tipičnog razvoja.

Abstract (english)

Motor disorders define as the group of disorders that affect fine and gross motor functioning and/or body balance and cause difficulties in everyday functional activities. It refers to a below average physical functioning with different etiology and phenomenology. Child's motor development affects many developmental areas and aspects of success in cognitive, perceptive and social domain. Children with motor disorders also have social and emotional difficulties and a large number of factors can affect development and improvement in their social and emotional competence.
The aim of this study was to investigate how parents assess social and emotional competence of their children with motor disorders and if the level of their social and emotional development is related to their participation in family activities.
Participants of this study were parents of children with motor disorders (N=21) and parents of typical developing children (N=21).
Questionnaire that was used for data collection consisted of several different parts: General information about child, parents and family, DESSA („Devereux Student Strenghts Assesment“), Family activities questionnaire. Parents filled questionnaire through link that was sent to them. Corresponding quantitative methods were used for the data analysis (descriptive and associational scientific approach).
There were found no large deviations in results when comparing the assessment of social and emotional competence which gave parents of children with motor disorders and parents of typical developing children. Furthermore, results showed statistically significant correlation between frequency of participation in family activities and the level of social and emotional competence of children with motor disorders and typical developing children.
