Abstract

Poremećaj slušnog procesiranja (PSP) se odnosi na perceptivne teškoće u obradi slušnih informacija u središnjem živčanom sustavu, koje se očituju slabom izvedbom u jednoj ili više vještina slušnog procesiranja. Osobe s PSP-om imaju uredan sluh, ali ne mogu čuti i razumjeti govorne zvukove, osobito u bučnom okruženju te postižu uredne rezultate na standardnim audiološkim testovima. Uzrok PSP-a nije točno utvrđen te se procjenjuje da zahvaća 2-5% dječje populacije. PSP može koegzistirati s raznim drugim poremećajima, poput jezičnih teškoća i teškoća učenja, no nikada nije posljedica tih teškoća. Cilj ovog rada je prikupiti i sažeti relevatnu literaturu koja prikazuje i opisuje terapijske postupke kod poremećaja slušnog procesiranja. Procjena i terapija PSP-a zahtijevaju multidisciplinarni pristup. Bitno je započeti sa sveobuhvatnom intervencijom odmah nakon postavljanja dijagnoze PSP-a jer teškoće koje dijete ima mogu značajno narušiti komunikaciju, učenje i socijalni razvoj. Primarni cilj terapije je povećanje sposobnosti korištenja informacija prezentiranih u slušnom modalitetu. Terapija PSP-a uključuje auditivni trening, prilagodbu okoline i primjenu kompenzacijskih strategija.

Abstract (english)

Auditory processing disorder (APD) refers to perceptual difficulties in processing auditory information in the central nervous system, which are manifested in poor performance in one or more hearing processing skills. People with the APD do not have hearing impaired, but can not hear and understand voice sounds, especially in a noisy environment, and achieve normal limits results on standard audiological tests. The cause of the APD is not exactly established, and is estimated to affect 2-5% of the children's population. The PSP can coexist with various other disorders, such as language difficulties and learning difficulties, but it is never the consequence of these difficulties. The aim of this work is to collect and summarize the relative literature that describes and describes therapeutic procedures in hearing disorders. APD assessment and therapy require a multidisciplinary approach. It is essential to start with a comprehensive intervention immediately after setting up a APD diagnosis because the difficulties a child may have can significantly undermine communication, learning, and social development. The primary goal of the therapy is to increase the ability to use the information presented in the auditory modality. PSP therapy includes auditory training, adaptation of the environment, and application of compensation strategies.
