Abstract

Joga se sve češće prakticira zbog svojih dobrobiti na zdravlje, prevenciju i liječenje određenih stanja i bolesti. Istraživanja su pokazala razne pozitivne fizičke i psihološke promjene nakon prakticiranja joge (Hughes, 2009). Roditelji, učitelji i ostali djelatnici također sve češće koriste ovakvu vrstu intervencije za djecu.
Ovaj rad proučava utjecaj intervencija baziranih na jogi kod tretmana djece s poremećajem hiperaktivnosti i deficita pažnje (ADHD). ADHD je kronični razvojni poremećaj koji pogađa 3-7% djece (APU, 2013). Dugoročno može nepovoljno utjecati na akademski i profesionalni uspjeh te na socio-emocionalni razvoj (Fedeli, 2015). Zbog neželjenih nuspojava koje donose lijekovi, sve češće se koriste komplementarne terapije. Komplementarne i alternativne terapije, primjerice joga, postaju sve popularnije, međutim njihova učinkovitost nedovoljno je istražena.
U ovom radu pregledana su razna istraživanja o utjecaju joge na ADHD. Većina istraživanja pokazala su pozitivan utjecaj joge na ADHD. Potrebna su daljnja istraživanja kako bi se vidjelo na koja sve područja joga može djelovati.

Abstract (english)

Yoga is increasingly being used in the general community for its benefits in promoting positive health as well as in preventing and treating certain disorders. Previous studies have reported various physical, psychological and behavioral improvements after practicing yoga. Parents, teachers and healthcare providers are also increasingly using such interventions with children.
This review examines the use of yoga-based interventions in the treatment of children with Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). ADHD is a chronic developmental disorder affecting 3–7% of children. In the long term it can impair academic performance, vocational success and social‐emotional development. Due to adverse effects of medication there is growing interest in complementary treatments. Complementary and alternative medicine therapies including yoga are commonly used in children with ADHD, but little is known about the efficacy of these therapies.
Most of the researches showed positive impact of yoga on ADHD. Future well designed research is needed to establish on which areas yoga can be effective.
