Abstract

Sve je veća osviještenost stručnjaka, ali i opće populacije, o razvojnom jezičnom poremećaju
(RJP). Obzirom da RJP utječe na ostale sfere djetetovog funkcioniranja bitno ga je
pravovremeno prepoznati i uključiti dijete u terapiju. Na tom su području logopedi postigli
zavidnu razinu. No, može li se isto jamčiti u drugim modalitetima? Hoće li logopedi jednako
uspješno prepoznati RJP u znakovnim jezicima? Na ta i druga pitanja pokušat će se odgovoriti
u ovom preglednom radu usmjerenom na RJP kod djece s oštećenjem sluha kojoj je znakovni
jezik prvi jezik. Predstavit će se pregled stranih istraživanja iz područja oštećenja sluha te
lingvistike znakovnih jezika, a posebice onih koja se bave RJP-om u znakovnim jezicima.
Veliki nesrazmjeri u zastupljenosti znakovnog jezika u terapiji i obrazovanju Gluhih u drugim
državama poput Sjedinjenih Američkih Država ili Velike Britanije u odnosu na Hrvatsku, ne
dopuštaju usporedbu s gotovo nepostojećom podrškom na hrvatskom znakovnom jeziku (HZJu). Tema RJP-a u HZJ-u još je neistražena pa će se ovaj rad većinom fokusirati na RJP u drugim
znakovnim jezicima. Konačno, navest će se potrebni koraci za postizanje bolje stručne
opremljenosti logopeda u radu s RJP-om u HZJ-u.

Abstract (english)

It could be said that developmental language disorder (DLD) is becoming increasingly
recognized not only by speech-language pathologists, but also by parents and other specialists
working with children. It is of great importance to raise awareness of DLD and to properly treat
it considering its possible influence on school achievement and social relationships. On that
subject speech-language pathologists have achieved a considerable progress. But, can we claim
the same for all language modalities? Can speech-language pathologist recognize DLD in sign
languages with the same accuracy as in spoken languages? This master thesis will address these
questions. There will be an overview of foreign studies, especially those regarding hearing
impairment and sign language linguistics. A special overview will be given of DLD in sign
languages. There are great differences between countries such as United States of America and
Great Britain compared to Croatia, particularly in terms of sign language use in language
interventions therapy and education of the Deaf. Croatian sign language (HZJ) still does not
have the necessary support in Croatia. Thus, this work will mainly focus on DLD in other sign
languages due to lack of research of DLD in HZJ. At last, basic information about first steps
needed for handling DLD in HZJ will be provided.
