Abstract

Poremećaj glasa može nastati u svim životnim razdobljima, pa tako i u djetinjstvu. Smatra se poremećajem za koji je karakteristično da obilježja glasnoće, visine i/ili kvaliteta glasa ne odgovaraju dobi, spolu, kulturi i/ili geografskom položaju osobe, odnosno djeteta. S obzirom na to da je vrlo važno za kvalitetu djetetova života da se poremećaj glasa prepozna što ranije, neizostavna je uloga pedijatara pri njegovu prepoznavanju.
Cilj ovog istraživanja je ispitati svjesnost pedijatara o razlozima upućivanja djece na vokalnu terapiju, ispitati koliko se sigurnima osjećaju u svoje znanje, utječu li godine radnog staža na isto te spoznati njihove stavove i znanje o poremećajima glasa. U istraživanju je sudjelovalo 69 pedijatara s područja Republike Hrvatske, a podaci su prikupljeni pomoću online upitnika konstruiranog u svrhu ovog istraživanja. Podaci dobiveni upitnikom pokazuju da pedijatri uglavnom točno određuju simptome, prepoznaju uzroke i upućuju djecu na daljnju procjenu, no ne osjećaju se sigurnima u svoje znanje glede poremećaja glasa te nisu zadovoljni stečenim znanjem na studiju, kao ni zastupljenošću teme u dostupnoj literaturi. Rezultati provedenih testova upućuju na to da ne postoji statistička značajnost između godina radnog staža, kao ni dodatnog usavršavanja i tendencije upućivanja djece na daljnju procjenu. Također, dobiveni rezultati upućuju na to da pedijatri koji rade u privatnim ordinacijama češće upućuju djecu na procjenu u odnosu na pedijatre koji rade u bolnicama i Domovima zdravlja. Dobivene rezultate potrebno je interpretirati s oprezom zbog malog uzorka sudionika.

Abstract (english)

A voice disorder can occur in any stage of a persons life, that also includes childhood. It is considered a disorder for which the characteristics of volume, pitch and/or quality of voice don't correspond with the age, sex, culture and/or geographical location of the person. Given that it is very important for the quality of a child's life to recognize a voice disorder as early as possible and the pediatrician's role in its recognition is indispensable.
The aim of this research is to examine the awareness of pediatricians about the reasons for referring children to vocal therapy, to examine how confident they feel in their knowledge, whether the years of work experience affect the same, and to find out their opinion and knowledge about voice disorders. 69 pediatricians from Croatia participated in the research, and the data was collected using an online questionnaire constructed for the purpose of this research. The data obtained from the questionnaire shows that pediatricians can almost always accurately determine the symptoms, recognize the causes and refer children for further assessment, but they do not feel confident in their knowledge regarding voice disorders and are not satisfied with the knowledge gained at university, as well as the representation of the topic in the available literature. The results of the conducted tests indicate that there is no statistical significance between years of service, as well as additional training and the tendency to refer children for further assessment. Also, the obtained results indicate that pediatricians who work in private practices refer children for evaluation more often than pediatricians who work in hospitals and health centers. The obtained results should be interpreted with caution due to the small sample of respondents.
