Abstract

Osobe s intelektualnim teškoćama imaju pravo na život u zajednici, a pritom je uključivanje u svijet rada i zapošljavanja od iznimne važnosti. Niz međunarodnih i nacionalnih dokumenata polazište je za kreiranje strategija, politika, usluga i programa podrške koji će im omogućiti pristup školovanju, profesionalnoj rehabilitaciji i radnom osposobljavanju te zaposlenju na otvorenom tržištu rada ili pod posebnim uvjetima. Rad pozitivno utječe na njihovu kvalitetu života jer u velikoj mjeri pridonosi ostvarivanju psihološkog, socijalnog i materijalnog blagostanja, širenju mreže podrške u zajednici i ostvarivanju vrednovanih uloga odrasle dobi. Brojna istraživanja potvrđuju dobrobiti rada i zapošljavanja ovih osoba i za njihovu užu okolinu (obitelji, poslodavce i kolege), tako i za lokalnu i širu zajednicu te društvo u cjelini. Stoga je cilj ovog diplomskog rada dati pregled suvremenih znanstvenih i stručnih spoznaja o značaju i dobrobitima zapošljavanja osoba s intelektualnim teškoćama, kao i njihova uključivanja u svijet rada i radne aktivnosti kad i nemaju mogućnost formalnog zapošljavanja. U tom kontekstu navedeni su primjeri dobre prakse u našoj zemlji, s naglaskom na prikazu programa radnih aktivnosti koji se provodi u sklopu socijalne usluge poludnevnog boravka za osobe s intelektualnim teškoćama pri Centru za odgoj i obrazovanje „Tomislav Špoljar“ u Varaždinu. Predstavljeni su i rezultati interne evaluacije spomenutog programa od strane samog Centra koji govore u prilog osiguravanja i ovakvih vidova radnog uključivanja koje može biti dobro polazište i za potencijalno zapošljavanje na tržištu rada.

Abstract (english)

People with intellectual disabilities have the right to live in the community, and inclusion in the world of work and employment is of extreme importance. A number of international and national documents form the starting point for the development of strategies, policies, services and support programs that will enable people with intellectual disabilities access to education, professional rehabilitation and work training, as well as employment in the open labour market or under special conditions. Work has a positive impact on their quality of life, as it contributes greatly to psychological, social and material well-being, to the expansion of the support network in the community and to the realisation of a valuable role in adulthood. Numerous studies confirm the benefits of work and employment of these people for their close environment (families, employers and colleagues) as well as for the local and wider community and the whole. Therefore, the goal of this thesis is to provide an overview of the current scientific and professional evidence on the importance and benefits of employing people with intellectual disabilities and their inclusion in the world of work and work activities when they do not have the possibility of formal employment. In this context, examples of good practises in our country are presented, with an emphasis on the presentation of the work activities program that is carried out as part of the half-day social service for people with intellectual disabilities at the Center for Education "Tomislav Špoljar" in Varaždin. The results of the internal evaluation of the aforementioned program by the Center itself were also presented, which speak in favour of ensuring this type of work inclusion, which can be a good starting point for potential employment in the labour market.
