Učinkovitost ICT-AAC aplikacije e-Galerija u poticanju jezičnih sposobnosti

Abstract

U današnje vrijeme, logopedi u svom radu sve češće koriste informacijsko- komunikacijsku tehnologiju. Tako su u okviru projekta ICT-AAC razvijene brojne aplikacije među kojima je i ICT-AAC aplikacija e-Galerija koja je namijenjena različitim korisnicima te nudi brojne mogućnosti. Jedna od njih je poticanje jezičnih sposobnosti djece. Stoga je cilj ovoga rada ispitati učinkovitost ICT-AAC aplikacije e-Galerija u poticanju istih. U istraživanje su uključena djeca tipičnog jezičnog razvoja, predškolske dobi. Ispitana je učinkovitost ICT-AAC aplikacije u poticanju pripovjednih sposobnosti, odnosno utjecaj aplikacije na proizvodnju i razumijevanje priče. Kao ispitni materijal je korištena hrvatska inačica višejezičnog instrumenta za ispitivanje pripovijedanja- MAIN. Ispitivanje je provođeno individualno te je pohranjen zvučni zapis svakog ispitanika. Rezultati su pokazali da su djeca uz pomoć ICT- AAC aplikacije e- Galerija postigla više rezultate na varijabli struktura priče, više rezultate na varijabli strukturalna složenost priče te veći ukupan broj riječi koje izražavaju unutarnja stanja. Također, djeca su postigla više rezultate u razumijevanju dijela priče koji im je prezentiran uz vizualnu podršku i zvučni zapis, nego dijela priče koji je prezentiran samo zvučnim zapisom. Budući da su djeca bolje proizvela i razumjela priču uz pomoć aplikacije, ICT- AAC aplikacija e- Galerija se može smatrati učinkovitom u poticanju jezičnih sposobnosti. Zahvaljujući dobivenim podacima možemo tvrditi da ICT-AAC aplikacija e- Galerija može biti koristan alat u logopedskom radu.

Abstract (english)

Nowadays, speech and language pathologists are increasingly using information and communication tehnology in their work. A number of applications have been developed within the ICT-AAC project, including the ICT-AAC e-Gallery application, which is intended for different users and offers numerous opportunities. One of them is to promote language skills of children. Therefore, the aim of this study is to test efficiency of ICT-AAC application e- Gallery in promoting language skills. The research included children of typical language development of preschool age. The effectiveness of ICT-AAC app on narrative skills, or the impact of application on production and comprehension of stories has been tested. The Croatian version of the Multilingual Assesment Instrument for Narratives- MAIN was used as the test material. The test was conducted individually and the audio record of each paricipant was stored. The results showed that, when they used the ICT-AAC e-Gallery app, children achieved higher scores on the story structure variable, higher scores on the story structural complexity variable, and a greater total number of words expressing internal states. Also, children achieved higher scores in understanding the part of the story that was presented to them with visual support and soundtrack than the part of the story that was presented with the soundtrack only. As a result of higher scores of production and comprehension with the use of e- Gallery, the ICT-AAC e-Gallery app can be considered effective in promoting language skills. Thanks to the data obtained, we can claim that the ICT-AAC e-Gallery application can be a useful tool in speech therapy.
