Abstract

Posljednjih godina bilježi se rastuća potreba za tretmanom ovisnosti o drogama. S obzirom da je oporavak od ovisnosti složen i dugotrajan proces, mnogi se teško odlučuju za uključivanje u tretman. U posljednja dva desetljeća došlo je do značajnog porasta broja korisnika računala, mobilnih uređaja, a s time i korisnika interneta. Rastući trendovi uporabe interneta, kao i sve veći troškovi zdravstvenog sustava, doveli su do potrebe za iskorištavanjem potencijala interneta u svrhu promicanja zdravlja i kvalitete zdravstvene zaštite. Osnovna ideja tretmana utemeljenih na suvremenim tehnologijama je poboljšanje i širenje dosega tretmana ovisnosti uz smanjivanje troškova i potrebnog broja terapeuta.
Tretmani utemeljeni na suvremenim tehnologijama najčešće su dostupni u obliku web stranica, online savjetovanja ili mobilnih aplikacija, a temelje se uglavnom na kognitivno-bihevioralnoj terapiji. Pregledom na dokazima utemeljenih programa i dostupnih meta-analiza može se zaključiti kako je tretman zloupotrebe droga utemeljen na suvremenim tehnologijama učinkovit. Važno je razumjeti kako takva vrsta tretmana ne može u cijelosti zamijeniti tradicionalne oblike tretmana ovisnosti, ali može pružiti vrijedne informacije, potporu i vođenje na putu prema oporavku.

Abstract (english)

Over the past few years an increasing need for drug addiction treatment has been identified.
Considering that the recovery from addiction is a complex and time-consuming process, many people find it difficult to decide to engage in treatment. The last two decades have seen a significant increase in the number of computer users, mobile users, and thus Internet users.
Rising trends of Internet usage, as well as the rising costs of the health care system, resulted in the need of using Internet’s potential in order to achieve health promotion and quality health care. The idea of treatments based on modern technology is to improve and expand the scope of addiction treatment while reducing the cost and required number of therapists.
Treatments based on modern technology are usually available in the form of websites, online counseling or mobile applications, and are mainly based on cognitive-behavioral therapy.
Reviewing evidence-based programs and available meta-analyses allows us to conclude that the drug addiction treatment based on modern technology is efficient. It is important to understand that this type of treatment cannot completely replace the traditional types of drug addiction treatment, nevertheless it can provide valuable information, support, and guidance on the path to recovery.
