Abstract
U istraživanju su ispitivane Android aplikacije ViaOpta Nav, NotNav GPS Accessibility, Talking Places, Blind Assistant i TapTapSee te iOS aplikacije Seeing Eye GPS, Heare, Be My Eyes, Awareness! i TapTapSee.

Parallel abstract (English)
According to the World Health Organization in 2014., it is estimated that there is about 285 million of visually impaired people in the world, of which 39 million are blind, and 246 million are visually impaired, and having that in mind, for a visually impaired person, rehabilitation is very important. Rehabilitation helps raise the level of independence and the ability to participate in activities of daily living. It is usually carried out with the aim of training to perform all acts necessary for independent living. Raising the independence, security and quality of life of the visually impaired key role also has technology. Assistive technologies are interdisciplinary field that consists of products, resources, methodologies, strategies, practices and services that aim to promote the functionality for the visually impaired with respect to their autonomy, independence, quality of life and social inclusion. The aim of this research is to examine the frequency of use, usability, minimalism and accessibility of applications in the operating systems Android and iOS and determine the degree of satisfaction on the basis of two rival mobile systems. The study involved two people, female (24) and male (26). For the purpose of research a questionnaire was designed. The research started in May 2016 and lasted until August of the same year. The study examined Android applications ViaOpta Nav, NotNav GPS Accessibility, Talking Places, Blind Assistant and TapTapSee and iOS apps Seeing Eye GPS, Heare, Be My Eyes, Awareness! and TapTapSee. According to the results of this research it can be concluded that the participants were familiar with some types of mobile applications, and some of them they used, but for some apps, they had the opportunity to try out for the first time as a part of this research. Blind people can overcome a lot of obstacles by using new technologies and have to be encouraged to use them. This thesis dealt with the research of the essential features of mobile applications that affect visually impaired customer's satisfaction, and results show that conceptualization of application's design, its minimalism, usability, functionality and accessibility are very important. Results of this study showed that participants showed willingness to continue to use certain applications, as well as the willingness to recommend applications to other visually impaired people, which is why it can be assumed that there is a need to increase the use of mobile applications within the process of rehabilitation. The results of this study should be taken with caution because the research was conducted on two participants and therefore the results can not be generalized and mesuring instrument requires further verification of metric characteristics. This research shows that there is a need for further research in Croatia, but also the world, in order to identify opportunities and ways to combine mobile applications with rehabilitation and everyday life of the visually impaired.
