Abstract

Važnost rada na socijalnim vještinama je među stručnjacima i u literaturi jasno istaknuta, no ona je i dalje u praksi često zanemarena. Dramske tehnike su sve više primjenjivane u radu s djecom s teškoćama u razvoju, a osobito sa djecom s poremećajima iz autističnog spektra (PAS). Razlog tomu je među ostalom to što se radi o aktivnoj metodi koja omogućava učenje socijalnih vještina u zaštićenim uvjetima ali imitirajući prirodno okruženje. U ovom radu je prikazan 11-tjedni program u kojem su se socijalne vještine nastojale poticati korištenjem dramskih tehnika, zajedno sa elementima likovnog i glazbenog izražavanja. Istraživanje ima dva krajnja cilja: upoznati se sa roditeljskim stavovima o važnosti socijalnih vještina i primjenjivosti dramskih tehnika u poticanju razvoja istih, te provjeriti postavljenu hipotezu koja tvrdi da korištenje dramskih tehnika u radu s djecom s teškoćama u razvoju pozitivno utječe na njihovo usvajanje socijalnih vještina. Dva su dijela istraživanja; u prvom se koristi polustrukturirani intervju s roditeljima, dok se u drugom koristi analiza video-snimki. Oba dijela su kvalitativno analizirana. Intervju s roditeljima je pokazao da oni prepoznaju važnost socijalnih vještina te smatraju da je njihov razvoj zanemaren unutar školskog sustava. Dramske kao i ostale kreativne tehnike smatraju velikim motivatorom za svoje dijete te se nadaju da će mu program pomoći u socijalizaciji. Analizom snimki provedenih radionica uočen je pozitivan pomak u grupnoj dinamici i odnosu među samim sudionicima. Napredak na pojedinim područjima nije jednak ni vidljiv kod svih sudionika, no rezultati upućuju na to da program pozitivno usmjerava njihove socijalne reakcije. Oba dijela istraživanja potvrđuju potrebu za daljnjim istraživanjem potencijala različitih kreativnih metoda u poticanju socijalnog razvoja kod djece s teškoćama.

Abstract (english)

The importance of working on social skills is highly emphasized among experts and in literature, yet in practice it still often remains neglected. Drama methods are more and more implemented in the work with children with developmental disabilities, especially with those on the autism spectrum. The reason for that is that drama is an active method that allows them to learn social skills inside a protected environment, while imitating a natural surrounding. This thesis presents an 11-week program in which social skills ere encouraged through the use of drama techniques, along with artistic and musical expressions. This research has two main goals: to introduce the parent´s attitude towards the importance of social skills and their encouragement and to verify the hypothesis which states that using drama techniques in working with kids with developmental issues helps improve their social skills. There are two parts to this research, in the first part a semi structured interview with the parents of one child is used for assesment, while in the second the video footage of the workshops are analyzed. The interview with the parents showed that they recognize the importance of social skills and that they feel that it is being neglected inside the school system. They view drama techniques, as well as other creative methods, as a great motivator for their child and hope that the program will help improve his socialization. By analyzing the footage a positive improvement in the group dynamics and the members' relationship has been noticed. Improvement in certain areas isn't equally visible with all participants, but the results point that the program guides their social reactions in a positive direction. Both parts of the research show a need for further research on the potential of different creative methods in improving social development in kids with developmental issues.
